Emotion poems
My Happiness by Alice
If you could feel my happiness,
It would shine like the bright yellow sun.
It would taste like a yummy roast dinner
and smell fresh like a just cooked bun.
It would look exciting
like a fast, fast runner!
And sound like my humming mum.
And last but not least,
it would feel warm
like my daddy’s big round tum!
Fear by Finley
Fear is red like violent dreams
it tastes sour on my tongue
It smells like rotten sewers
It looks like an old creepy house
It has no sound
It is hollow and empty
It feels icy cold.
Happiness by James M
Happiness is gold like the sun
It tastes like chocolate cake
It smells like donuts at the fairground
It looks like children playing and having fun
It sounds like screams of laughter
It feels like a big hug when my mum tucks me in at night.
Anger by Jake
Anger is like a flash of red lights
It tastes just like a red hot chilli
It smells like burning wood
It fills the sky at night with an orange glow
Crack, crack just like twigs being walked over.
It makes me feel all hot inside.
