Instructions for Creating and Using Text Boxes in Word.
Introduction
Being able to use text boxes in word is a really useful
skill. It allows you to position text anywhere on the page.
This is very important to allow you to control the layout of a page. In
making a poster it is a good idea to put the main elements of a poster
in different text boxes so you can change the layout to achieve the best
effect.
You will need
A copy of Word on your computer.

Things to watch out for.
If you want to make your text moveable you must remember to put the Word Art in a Text Box.
You must click on the Word Art to select it.
The other difficult skill is clicking on the edge of the text box to be able to move it.
Getting the hang of it.
Once you get the hang of it, you will be able to enlarge and reduce the text box. Click inside the text box and change the size of the word art.
Pictures and text can be placed inside text boxes to make them all easily moveable.

Read all the instructions carefully before you do anything else.
Take a piece of blank A4 paper.
Write your name on the top in large red letters.
Draw a picture of your favourite cartoon character in as much detail as you can.
Roll your drawing up, tie a piece of ribbon around it and hand it in to your teacher.
Ignore all the above instructions except the first and the last.
Go out to play.
