Once installed it places an icon on your desktop.

When you open the programme it looks like this.

Now this program is able to do lots of things and you could spend some time trying to find out what it can do.

But we want it to
resize an image
so it fits into the blog.

Go

File - Open

Select the image you want to resize in My Pictures.

And click Open

The image opens in the program.

Then choose

Image - Resize

The Resize Dialogue box will open.

Notice the present size of the picture.

Width 1241

Height 732

 

Now Images on the
Blog
can't be any wider than
650

So we need to change the
Width to 650

Can you see the little arrows to the right of the number. Hold the mouse down on the down arrow and the numbers will begin to change. As you change the width the height will change automatically.

Just keep changing it until the width reaches
650
then click OK

Hey Presto

You have a resized image, small enough to upload to the blog.
