How to take screenshots
It's really useful to know how to take screenshots. You can take a picture of anything you see onscreen, resize it and then use it in writing or upload it into a blog or a webpage. Which is exactly how these instructions have been produced.
On you computer key board there is a Print Screen Key. In days of old this would have immediately printed out a copy of your screen view.

In more modern times it's a little more complicted but not much and much more useful.
First of all you need to find your print screen key on your keyboard.

Just press it once and the picture is placed on your computer's clipboard.
Now you need to open a program to save the image from the clipboard.
If you were working on a document you would just paste it into Word but we want it as a image so you are going to paste it into Paint.
So open Paint.

All you've got to do is save it.
But there's
one twist here.

You've got to save it as a jpeg.
Do you see the - Save as type menu?
You MUST make sure that shows JPEG
and then click save.
This is very important.
