How much water do we use?
Take a look at the
"How I use water"
part
of the Anglian Water website.
It gives some clues on
how we use water,
how much we use
and
some suggestions
for not using so much.
Do a
Water Audit
to find out how much water you use at home.
For example
Taking a bath - 90 Litres
Taking a shower - 27 Litres
Flushing a toilet - 9 Litres
Washing face / hands - 9 Litres
Getting a drink - 1 Litre
Brushing teeth - 1 Litre
Washing Clothes - 118 Litres per load
Dishwasher - 35 Litres
Watering the garden with a sprinkler - 17 Litres per minute.
Hosepipe - 10 Litres per minute.
Other.
Make a chart a work out how many litres of water you use per day.
You could do this using a spreadsheet.

There's another leaflet here about saving water in school.
Could we come up with some ideas to put to the School Council?
