What was a water mill for?

The mill ground the flour for the local area.

Mundesley used to have a water mill.
It was built almost 300 years ago.
You can still see the Mill Pond today.

 

 

There was another Mill on the River Mun at Gimingham.

Look at some old Water Mills from here and the USA.
Get an idea of how the overshot water wheel provided the power for the grinding stones to grind the flour.
